Ms. Rasmussen

        

My name is Kristy Rasmussen and I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  I just know it’s going to be a great year.   I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself,  so you could get to know me better before the first day of school arrives. 

 

  This will be my 2nd year teaching 3rd grade and also in the Elementary Education field. I previously taught preschool for 6 years. My heart has always had a desire to teach at the Elementary level.  After Graduating Ricks College decades ago,  I decided to go back to school and I graduated with my bachelors degrees from Western Governors University. You are never to old to dream big and reach your goals in life.   I have a love and a passion for  teaching that runs deep.  I have a belief that every student can learn. It’s not a matter of if you will understand, it’s just a matter of when.   

  Let me tell you a little about my family. I am the second oldest out of 4 girls. Yep 4 girls,  I have no brothers. and oh yes I have some wonderful parents I should mention too.   I have 3 great kids. Kate who is 11 years old will be entering the 6th grade.  I am in total denial I have a 6th grader. She needs to stop growing up.  My second oldest, Caleb is 8 and going into 3rd grade.  My youngest Jane is 6 and will be in 1st grade. 

 

Well, that is a little bit about me. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know you better throughout the year!  3rd Grade ROCKS!
